Project Description

Soft robotics can create a shift in the way we think about interacting with robots. Rob Scharff created a soft robotic hand that is actuated by pressurizing air chambers that are integrated in the hand using 3D – printing. The Connex printer at IDE now offers the possibility to print combinations of rigid and flexible materials. It creates a lot of new opportunities to enrich the functionality of 3D – printed soft robots.
